Small Round Foam Humidifier

Oasis foam humidifiers need a small jump-start which can be accomplished with a humidifier solution which can be purchased or created by mixing equal parts of distilled water and propylene glycol. The propylene glycol acts as a controller, releasing moisture when the environmental humidity level falls below 70% and by absorbing the moisture when the humidity rises above 70%. At intervals, which will be dependent upon the size of the humidor, the humidifier will need to be refilled. It will still contain propylene glycol so you should only refill with distilled water. Propylene glycol takes much more time to evaporate than distilled water. If the humidifier foam unit is saturated with propylene glycol it would leave very little room left for distilled water, and should be rinsed to rid the device of excessive amounts.

We advise our customers to thoroughly rinse their Oasis foam humidifier with distilled water, at least, once per year and let it dry before adding a 50/50 mix of distilled water and propylene glycol to, again, jump-start the unit.
